MPVs are
very popular with families and companies.
Large diesel estate cars and MPV’s are being used by more
companies as mobile offices – with laptop computers, mobile
phones and faxes on board. You can go from appointment to appointment
in comfort.
More taxi companies are using these diesel
vehicles for both
regular fares as well as airport transfers etc.
Some diesel MPV’s like the Peugeot 806 and Fiat Ulysse
have easy rear passenger access because the rear doors slide
open, rather than using hinges.
The most popular diesel models are the Ford Galaxy, VW Sharan,
Seat Alhambra Combination and the Renault Espace. (The Espace
was the first true MPV).
Diesel MPV rear seats usually unclip allowing easy conversion

8 seats are available in vehicles such as the Peugeot 806 and
Citreon Synergie.
Please remember that with most diesel
MPV’s, when all
seats are being used, there is little luggage space, so if you
need 7 seats and luggage space, consider the Mercedes V class
or the VW Transporter.

The diesel estate car market has gone from strength to strength
over the years, because the specifications have improved so much.
Once a utility car, now a luxury family vehicle. Very popular
with pet owners, families whose children ride horses or have
sporting pursuits because of the luggage space and towing capacities.
If you’re looking for a large luggage area then the Volvo
and Audi diesel estates have a much larger capacity than other
diesel vehicles in the class such as the Ford Mondeo.
Mercedes have an E Class diesel
estate car and diesel saloon that
has no keys and opens and starts on command!!
Peugeot and Citroen have automatic lights and wipers which don’t
have 3 speed settings, but a variable speed.
How about a diesel sports tourer such as the Renault Laguna
or the BMW 3 or 5 series which give a nice estate car with the
sporty look!
The Volvo XC90 is able to offer a combination of 4wd 7 forward
facing seats with manual or automatic transmission
